![]() ![]() ![]() Mitchell Weisbrod holds a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University where he also earned his Master’s Degrees in Social/Experimental Psychology and Clinical Psychology. In her spare time, she plays with her poodle, hangs out with her teen daughter, knits, or throws pottery. She has a special passion for DBT related treatment and autism assessment. She looks forward to seeing clients in therapy and helping them to achieve their goals. Her most recent work has been providing forensic evaluations to adults and teens involved in the legal system allowing her to empathize with those involved in the court system. She has continued to work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, severe and persistent mental illness and can provide both group and individual DBT informed therapy. After close to twenty years on the east coast, she returned to her native Michigan in 2006. Her experience with the foster care population has provided experience in working with issues related to trauma, loss, abuse, adoption and placement. While in New York, she worked with individuals and adults across the life span, provided psychological assessments and worked in foster care. Beth Toplyn holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research in New York City and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Hobbies of mine include camping, swimming, reading, jogging, dancing, singing, and really anything at all to do with music. When I am not in the office providing hope to others I can be found spending time with my husband and two daughters, Tori and Bella. I believe that this deeper exploration and understanding allows for meaningful and sustainable healing and growth. I prefer cognitive-behavioral, strength-based and relational therapy techniques that are designed to address you as a whole person. I will use a variety of approaches in our sessions in order to understand and treat the root causes, not just the symptoms, of your issues. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. DeWitt enjoys the outdoors, studying and practicing yoga, and time with her family.Īmanda M. DeWitt guides clients to uncover their underlying truths and strengths as they dive into the root cause of their symptoms, healing them from the core. In practice, one can expect a warm and accepting environment, as Dr. DeWitt's current focus lies in supervising and training clinicians, in addition to carrying a small caseload of therapy clients. She also has 7 years' experience in Neuropsychological and Psychodiagnostic assessment. She has spent the last 2 years primarily working in outpatient settings, specializing in work with adults with significant trauma history, personality disorders, and all mood disorders. She has a lengthy history working inpatient with severe and persistent mentally ill individuals, and she has deep compassion for the misunderstood and underrepresented populations. She completed her doctoral internship at Denver Health hospital in Colorado. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Binghamton University, followed by her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Dayton, and PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University at Buffalo. ![]() Psychology has been Gwendoline DeWitt's passion since high school.
